James S. Lee is an uncelebrated Artist and Curator. He is based in Tromsø, Norway. He graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, Dundee, Scotland in 2010 and, from 2012 until 2015, was one hand of many on the steering wheel of the artist led space, GENERATOR Projects, located in Dundee, Scotland. In 2016, he was Curator in Residence with David Dale Gallery, Glasgow, Scotland. He is also a song and dance man, recording under the name Background Music for House Parties in an attempt to game streaming platforms out of money. Between 2018 and 2022, he was programming environmentally conscious Art with ‘F.U.C.K’ (Failure. Understanding. Care & Kunst), an independent visual art project in Tromsø, Norway, in collaboration with artist Ruth Aitken.
